Botox is an effective treatment for this.
Problematic areas are injected with minute amounts of very dilute Botox. The Botox is injected into the skin (as opposed to injecting into the muscle, as is done with Botox for cosmetic use). It requires a skilled practitioner to achieve success with these skin injections.
Mary can use local anesthetic cream to make the procedure more comfortable if required.
For reasons that are not fully understood, Botox lasts much longer in the skin than in the muscle. Mary’s patients usually find that one treatment will last a full year.
Mary is available for consultation about using Botox for migraine prevention on Friday afternoons. Mary charges $50 for a consultation, this is set off against any eventual treatment that her patients may have.
