Lips often thin as we age. Fuller, more vital looking lips can be quite rejuvenating. Fuller lips can be achieved using a number of methods.
Off-the-shelf preparations, like Restylane or Juvederm, made from hyaluronic acid, can temporarily fill the lips and lines, and plump the lips. The effect generally lasts six months to a year.
More permanent techniques include fat grafting and dermal fat grafts. A dermal fat graft is a graft of skin and fat (normally taken from the groin region) and threaded through the upper lip in people desiring a fuller lip.
If you decide you would rather a permanent technique you will need to book a consultation with Mr. Kenton-Smith, costing $250, to discuss facial rejuvenation which can include fat grafting and other treatments.
If you decide you would prefer a less permanent result then book a consultation, costing $50, with our trained injector, Dr. Mary Irvine.
At 5 Naseby Street we run regular Injectables Clinics run by our warm and friendly trained injector, Dr. Mary Irvine. Mary is a G.P. with a special interest in cosmetic injectables and a keen aesthetic eye. Dr. Irvine will discuss the issue you have come to see her about and can explain the solutions available to you together with costs of treatment. You will then need to decide whether or not you would like the treatment. If you decide not to go ahead with treatment, that is fine, you will just need to pay your consultation fee of $50. If you decide to go ahead, your consultation fee will be incorporated into the cost of your treatment. If you decide to book your treatment for another day, your consultation fee will come off your eventual bill.
We believe we are one of the only surgical clinics in New Zealand offering our patients a doctor injector, rather than a nurse, who is overseen by a plastic surgeon. We believe the skills of the two doctors combined result in the best aesthetic results achievable.
